United States

A leading US youth climate movement campaigning to curb Big Oil's influence over climate legislation.
Extended description
The Sunrise Movement is one of the leading youth climate movements in the United States. Its national campaign works to expose and curb the influence of major oil companies over climate legislation, arguing that fossil-fuel interests promote bills that weaken environmental regulation and block the energy transition. Through organising, advocacy and public pressure, it seeks stronger climate policy and a just transition, mobilising young people around political change.
