Global (widely applicable)
Highlight
Neighbourhood repair events help residents fix products instead of discarding them, reducing waste and building skills.
Extended description
Repair Cafés are community events or spaces where volunteers help residents repair household items such as electronics, clothing, bicycles and small appliances. By extending product life, they reduce waste and the demand for new materials and products while sharing practical skills and strengthening community connections. Originating in the Netherlands, the model has spread internationally as a simple, grassroots circular-economy practice.
