Puts public space and active mobility first, cutting emissions through better urban design and behaviour.
Extended description
Gehl is a Danish urban-design practice focused on public space, active mobility and 'cities for people'. By redesigning streets and squares around walking, cycling and social life, its interventions report increases of around 20–60% in active mobility and reductions in motorised traffic in pedestrianised areas. It shows how human-scale design can cut emissions while improving health, inclusion and quality of urban life.
