ENGIE develops and operates low-carbon urban district heating and cooling networks that integrate renewable energy, industrial waste heat and efficient technologies. With hundreds of district networks in operation, it reports emission reductions of around 30–70% compared with individual heating and cooling systems. By centralising and decarbonising thermal supply, it helps cities cut building emissions and improve energy efficiency at neighbourhood scale.
