Citizen's Coolkit

Activating Neighbourhoods for Climate Action

Vancouver, Canada

Highlight

A participatory toolkit that guides residents from climate concern to concrete local action.

Extended description

Citizen's Coolkit is an interactive, participatory resource that helps neighbourhoods understand and act on local climate impacts. Rather than a technical tool, it guides communities through five steps: reflecting on local climate problems, mapping vulnerable spaces (heat, lack of shade or green space), assessing needs, imagining local solutions and moving to action. Created by researchers at the University of British Columbia, it strengthens community engagement in climate adaptation.
