Atelier LUMA, based in Arles, is a design and research lab developing bio-based materials, circular-economy approaches and low-impact solutions for buildings and public space using local resources. It creates materials with very low carbon footprints from regional biomass and waste, running pilot projects that cut local waste and integrate biomaterials into architecture. It bridges design research and practical, place-based decarbonisation of materials.
