Highlight
Organises daily life so residents can reach essential services within a short walk or bike ride.
Extended description
The 15-minute city is an urban-planning model in which most daily needs — work, shops, schools, healthcare, leisure and green space — can be reached within about 15 minutes on foot or by bicycle. By mixing uses and strengthening neighbourhood services, it reduces dependence on cars, cuts transport emissions and supports more active, inclusive and resilient communities. The concept has been applied and adapted in cities worldwide.
